From exciting projects to team victories, 2023 at 360 DigitalStarters has been a wild ride packed with laughter, learning, and professional success. As we prepare to say goodbye to this year, we want to reflect on the memorable moments that made 2023 one of the best years yet!
Among our many professional achievements this year, we celebrated the launch of our latest trivia platform, Quiz Arena, which now draws in thousands of players daily to compete against one another in hopes of claiming the coveted title of quiz champion! 2023 also saw our established TerraYou platform hit some impressive new milestones, reaching new heights as it proudly supported over 11 million people worldwide on their continued journey of self-discovery.
But all of these successes wouldn’t be possible without the amazing hard work of our team. And a team that works this hard deserves to play hard too. Here’s a look back on how we wound down, had fun, and kept our minds and bodies fit and happy so that we could make these 2023 successes happen.
SPRING
We had a busy start to the year with our unofficial volleyball season kicking off in January. Our internal league was created by our resident sports enthusiasts, who meet regularly to play matches and practice their skills. Everyone is welcome, and it’s a chance for us to get together and keep ourselves fit and active.
Luckily, our in-house masseuse visits the office twice a week to help us look after our aching muscles! We are firm believers in the ethos that a well-cared-for body makes for a more productive mind.
In March we attended a comprehensive fire and safety course by the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund. The safety of our team is our priority and knowledge is power!
Our thinking caps came out in April as the weather started to warm up, and we held a crazy lab office party. We’re not saying it got overly competitive… but let’s just say that we now know who the puzzle-busting experts are for the next board game night.
SUMMER
Summer is the time for celebrating good weather, good friends, and good food! So this year we decided to bring back our office favorite – international lunch! Our multicultural team is one of our biggest strengths, as it brings us a wealth of knowledge and experience from all over the world. It shapes the way we work, and we truly believe it is what makes our company so special.
Most importantly, it means we can share the most delicious foods from all our home countries! This summer during our international lunches we tried wonderful Brazilian feijoada, Serbian pies, and Ukrainian borscht to name just a few.
Summer is also the season to explore the city we live and work in, and what better way to do that than a paddle down the river Spree? Our summer party is always one of the biggest events on our calendar, and it’s a chance for us to celebrate all our hard work and have some fun. This year was no exception, we got a guided canoe tour through Berlin – and followed it up with an evening of BBQ, music, and fun!
AUTUMN
Just because the seasons change doesn’t mean you need to slow down, and this year we definitely didn’t. We kicked off autumn with an unforgettable experience at the iconic Berlin Oktoberfest that included drinks, food, and even some dancing.
September also marks the return to school, and for many of us, it meant diving back into our German lessons. While our courses continue throughout the year, this autumn brought a fresh start with a new teacher and new colleagues who had joined our ever-expanding team. We love being in Berlin, with its vibrant food and music scene, and amazing cultural diversity. For those of us from other countries, having the opportunity to learn the language through dedicated company courses just makes us feel even more a part of the city.
We also celebrated the spooky season this year with a fun, themed office party. Halloween is always an excuse to dress up, get together, and see if we can scare a colleague or two.
WINTER
As the year drew to a close we still found a way to get together and have fun – even if the weather drove us inside. Escape room fever caught hold of us, and we spent an evening trying to crack some impossible clues.
Finally, our Christmas party is the event of the year! It serves as a golden opportunity for us to come together, revel in shared successes, and ease into a well-deserved respite after yet another triumphant year.
