We sat down with our talented team member and performance marketing coordinator, Yuliia, to demystify the world of marketing and provide you with an exclusive glimpse into our marketing team here at 360 Digital Starters. First of all—so we can get a real sense of what you do—can you walk us through a typical morning in the life of a performance marketing coordinator? What do you think makes it special?
Of course! My day is always busy, which I like. I want to say that the morning starts with coffee, but in reality, it doesn't. It actually starts with analyzing what happened yesterday. I look at yesterday's data in the context of the week and then decide on my course of action. Then I have coffee.
I think my role is special because it involves a lot of analysis, communication, and creative solutions.
In your opinion, how does what you do contribute to the overall success of the team?
I’m responsible for making timely reactions to changes in the market. I have to make quick decisions, but they need to be based on hard data. When things go well, this is reflected in the positive numbers in my reports and the overall success of the marketing team. You can also see it in the smiles of my team members!
What is your favorite part of the job with 360 Digital Starters and what are some of its challenges?
It's hard to single out anything in particular, as I really enjoy being a part of this company, especially in the marketing department. But I'd be lying if I didn't say that I love it when we have coffee together and discuss interesting news. A good mood is guaranteed for the whole working day (and this is obviously backed up by good ROI on our advertising campaigns).
If I think about any difficulties of the job, I can say that sometimes it can be difficult to promote a new product, given that we have so many interesting things to choose from!
What got you interested in marketing? Was it something you always wanted to do?
Marketing came to me when I didn't expect it to, and a long time ago. I may not have even known the term marketing when I first started working in the field!
But to this day I’m glad that I chose this path, because I still get a feeling of excitement and satisfaction when my efforts bring good business results, and it inspires me even more.
What's interesting about it? Everything! You are constantly in a whirlwind of new events, insights, and applications. Plus, you develop this amazing ability to absorb loads of new information in a short space of time, which you then get to apply at work.
How did you end up at 360 Digital Starters and in Berlin? What do you love about the company?
Thanks to my friends, I'd known about this company for a long time. I had a request to help with the marketing direction (as the war started in my country and I needed to find a job, and the structure is a bit different), and thanks to meeting and communicating with some team members, I was able to get an internship. I was so happy!
This is what I like about the company, they give you the opportunity to prove yourself and are very supportive!
That’s great to hear! And finally, to finish off, do you have any advice for people who are looking to get into marketing?
Learn! Learn from mistakes and don't be afraid to make them. Follow trends, because without this it will be difficult to get to know the market. Don't give up and learn how to move on from a failure. If marketing is definitely your thing, you will feel it immediately.
