With temperatures in the high 20s, we decided to take advantage of that glorious sunshine and head over to BeachMitte – Berlin’s largest beach volleyball location, boasting over 50 courts, a sandy bar, and surrounded by the iconic Berlin Wall trail.
An oasis in the heart of Berlin
This was not the first time we’d headed to the courts, having enjoyed a great day out last year, but it was the first time we’d gone with such a large team. Ranging from complete beginners to well-practiced pros, everyone had a chance to hit the ball – with more or less success.
And while some spent hours playing, others could happily laze in the sun, drinking, chatting and relaxing. We finally wrapped it up with an Indian dinner before heading home. Here’s to many more games next year!
