On 22 May, fourteen of the Digital Starters team participated in Berliner Firmenlauf – one of the biggest company running events in Berlin.
Since 2002, Berlin has hosted the 5.5km event that makes its way through the heart of the city center. Each year spectators cheer on the thousands of runners, roller-skaters, unicyclists and walkers who make their way around Tiergarten Park to finish at the iconic Brandenburg Gate
On your marks, get set…GO!
As for us, we didn’t care about the competition – our goal: have fun. Most of us had never run in an event like this before (…or trained), and simply signed up to join in with that team spirit. We may not have beaten the world record but the pizza and drinks at the finishing line were certainly well deserved!
Not sure anyone is in a hurry to sign up for the 40km Marathon next year, but who knows…watch this space!
